About This Game Never Again - Horror/first-person Quest. Sometimes it makes you open the door twice.. At the moment the game is unplayable. First puzzle requires crouching, but the crouch button doesn't do anything.. Fun game with some interesting puzzles, interesting storyline.. The game just simply plays horribly.. I actually just couldn't get past the first level (the cave one) because even if the fuse box was off and the cable stopped producing sparks, I just died each time I interacted with it, which prevented me to keep going.I was hooked by the tone and the music in the beginning of this story but this kind of hard game-breaking bugs are just absurd.. Impressive indie horror game. Decent story with a heart wrenching end sequence. The scare factor is a little more on the light side in comparison to some other titles, and it left me wishing there was a bit more than what was there. That being said, there is still genuine moments of creepiness and distress. The first encounters with the two bosses are pretty terrifying at first, but the terror aspect does get a bit dull after the first million deaths. It may be short, but the soundtrack is damn good for what it is. Glad I was able to get the soundtrack bundle for cheap. Some of the songs overlap a couple of the spookier parts of the game, which felt a little unnatural for what was visually happening. A good dose of Silence would have done this game's horror aspect some good. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this game ran for only being developed by two people. Looks absolutely lovely, and absolutely grimy and disgusting when need be. The passion and hard work put into this game can be seen and heard throughout the entire experience. The message is very clearly delivered at the end of the game, a concise statement held in mutual agreement with the player after the emotional ending. On a scale of indie games I give Never Again a solid 8\/10.. loved the game, but im puzzled because i seem to come to an end, dont know if im supposed to die all the time then restarts same place .says chapter 1-2 beta version. stuck here or should i have update?. I'll give this a thumbs up only because it is still early days and it does seem like it could have potential.Some of the problems I found were things like the controls being very pedantic when it came to trying to pick things up and opening and closing doors (had to ditch the controller for the mouse a few times). Biggest WT??? for me was dying and spawning right in front of the 'Queen of Spades' when exiting the box/train car what ever it was AND spawning behind a mannequin in those hallways (chapter 3) which meant being unable to move so I was left waiting for Spades or an asthma attack to come and kill me as movement was impossible.The story is a little out there and although I can assume what is going on and what the whole story is, it's not written out in black and white so most is left up to your own interpretation.Horror this is not but a well created suspense/thriller, I look forward to seeing if this gets the further nurturing it needs to grow and be a fully playable and enjoyable game.
